To the Gallaudet University Board of Trustees, I write to you not as an alumnus but as a member of the Deaf family. It is of great concern that you receive this letter with an open mind and a patient heart. I, along with the throngs of others, are gravely bothered by the most recent turn [...]

RidorLIVE Sun, Oct 15 2006
WASHINGTON, DC — Driving towards Gallaudet on 8th Street, nothing made me happier to see the bedsheets hanging from the rowhouses ridiculing Jane and Irving a block away from Gallaudet.  One reads:  Run Jane Run!  One reads:  Arrest Us?  Big Mistake!  One reads:  First they ignored us.  Then they ridiculed us.  Then they arrested us.  [...]

I guess I still am, but the atomosphere of the rally was one of fraternity and unity, and it helped me heal a little. It was especially nice to [...]

More people are coming at them with more fervor. It is not about the record that would entitled our respective names next to "civil disobidence". It is about priniciple. Gallaudet is [...]

In the last post, I’ve pointed out that if the Board of Trustees decided to force JFK to resign, they’d have to pay her 2 million dollars as her lawyers cleverly advised her to put in the contract. Well, the Protest may have already cost Gallaudet more than 2 millions; however, it’s currently hypothetical [...] [...]

Where do I begin? It was an emotional ride up 6th Street as I approached Gallaudet in the taxicab from the airport. Entering the 6th Street gate to the campus, everything seemed deserted. In fact, the campus seemed normal--a stark contrast to the grim events of 24 hours earlier. A few tidbits of interest:I couldn't get a room at the GUKCC. The lady at the front desk [...]
