The ASL-Cochlear Implant Community - 23 hours ago
Our daughter (age 10) knows Signing Exact English, is fluent in verbal English and is interested in learning ASL. To that end, we sent her to summer camp for deaf kids, which she loved, and where she did become more fluent in ASL. She is starting to take lessons from a wonderful lady who has been deaf most of her life. To make things easier, and save on gas, we ins...

Us Deaf can imagine that AGB as being Bambi and that DBC as being Godzilla, or vice versa. This forty years old video best illustrated that.

After many weeks of hard work it's finally becoming a reality, thanks to the power of the people. After producing 11 VLOGs and several blogs people finally realized what was missing. The rise ...

It is COMING! - Wed, Jul 23 2008
We ran into some rather new interesting information when we saw the cover of Deaf Life magazine showing DBC leaders rallying at Milwaukee with a theme that says "DBC challenges the oralist goliath". First question came to mind... is DBC's war against AG Bell and Oralists of utter importance? Or is it more important for DBC to focus on signs for deaf babies? It was...

Hi everyone!!!  It's me — I'm up and about for a little while this morning.  :)  We don't have a laptop, otherwise I would've sent that post last night on my own, since I was doing pretty well but not really up to walking around much.  Big hugs to Dave for doing it for me.  [...]

Being gone for two and half weeks is a long time to be away from the blogosphere. It's nearly impossible for me to catch up with everything that's taken place. What is clear is that a lot of former DBC members are unhappy with what DBC's done, and things have turned nasty as a result. I'm [...]

Disclaimer More than one language spoken here. Having just arrived from San Diego not too long ago, of course, I checked out the blogs and vlogs around the blogosphere. What a time at the reunion. I didn't want to leave, but I had to. Whoever plans them, keep doing so. They keep getting better every year. I'm hoping future gas prices will stabilize or at least be lower than how they were at the time, hovering around $4.15 a gallon. Where the artwork was, they had a slideshow of previous SVP events, with me being in one of them with m...

DeafNation - Tue, Jul 22 2008
The Taiwanese dawn greeted me as I got up at the very early hour of 5 AM, eager for my trip to Hualien, Taiwan. Even though I had been getting up early the last few days here in Taipei, what made this early wakeup call different was that I had to be at Taipei’s Songshan Airport by 6 AM for my flight to Hualien.
